Hailing from Kashmir, Ehan Bhat is making his acting debut with AR Rahman’s 99 Songs, which releases in theatres on April 16.The film marks the Oscar-winning musician’s debut as a producer and writer.Also starring Edilsy Vargas, 99 Songs is a musical romance directed by debutant filmmaker Vishwesh Krishnamoorthy.Ehan Bhat has received training from Bernard Hiller, a renowned acting coach based in Los Angeles.The actor also spent more than a year at AR Rahman’s musical institute, KM Music Conservatory in Chennai, to prepare for his role and learn to play the piano.Ehan has featured in a short film directed by Imtiaz Ali and also shared screen space with Deepika Padukone in a soap commercial.He was last seen in the music video Chhor Denge with Nora Fatehi.He spends his free time reading the works of Khalil Gibran, Shams Tabrizi and Rumi.
